A. Treasurer's Office.
:
These Officers draw $890 ($720 - 900 by $60) and $660 (max.) and have to find sureties, two each, in the sun of $10.000 and $5,000 respectively. One of the sureties in each case having been ruled invalid by Government the Shroffs represented that they were no longer able to obtain security without payment of premium amounting to 3% per annum. It has therefore been considered reasonable to make them an allowance of 2% on the amounts required, namely $5,000 and $2,500 respectively.
